MOT TYPE 1 is a tested and assessed product, that is required to meet different criteria including: grading, strength and resistance to frost exposure.
The most common use for MOT TYPE 1 stone is construction of roads and motorways, where it is a requirement to be used within 450mm of the carriageway surface.
Where there is a requirement for MOT TYPE 1 stone to be used, this must be strictly adhered to, ensuring specifications are met. However, where MOT TYPE 1 stone is not specified, standard limestone or recycled products can be utilised instead, providing a highly cost effective alternative.
